The Nest

History

Hueco Mundo was created during the early period of time when the world was still young. A transcendent hollow, Salem, stepped forth from the universe into this dimension as he soon created the ravenous desert that Hueco Mundo consists of. He gave birth to the race of creatures that resided here, the hollows. Soon after the race would start, he would create a den for them. This place of death and terror would be known as The Nest, the largest and strongest hollow hold known to any being. Alongside him, his brother Cesar would create Las Noches, the home of the arrancar. Together they occupied the desert passively as time went on. As the centuries drug on, the hollows and shinigami would begin to fight each other, causing much blood shed and death in the world. Soon a great war would start from the feud between the brothers, Salem and Himimoto, and would stretch for another century or two before Cesar, the third brother, and Salem's son would step in. The war would come to a close, and soon after the nest would be purged upon the order of Salem. Now it will rise again with new beings of power.

Description

Ranked Souls

Ranking is strictly determined by level. Leader determination is put between two or more hollows as they fight for dominance over the nest.

Nest Leader

The nest leader is the being over all of the hollow den. He is the strongest hollow within the nest and usually guides the actions of the others.
Salem (level 30)

Vasto Lorde

Vasto Lorde (最上大虚 (ヴァストローデ), vasuto rōde; Japanese for "Highest Great Hollow") are the third classification of Menos and the highest level of evolution. They are extremely small Hollows, roughly the same size as humans and are extremely rare in number. It is said that you could count their entire number within Hueco Mundo with only the fingers of your hand. The Vasto Lordes' combat capabilities are above that of the captains of the Gotei 13.

Adjuchas

Adjuchas (中級大虚 (アジューカス), ajūkasu; Japanese for "Intermediate Great Hollow") are the second classification of Menos. They are smaller than Gillians and far fewer in number. However, they're much smarter and stronger than Gillians. They're often the ones who lead Gillians into battle. Adjuchas are commonly solitary creatures rarely joining into groups. They are powerful enough to challenge a captain of the Gotei 13.

Gillian

Gillian (最下大虚 (ギリアン), girian; Japanese for "Lowest Great Hollow"), also called Menos Grande (大虚 (メノスグランデ), menosu gurande; Spanish for "Less Big" or "Big Minus", Japanese for "Great Hollow") are the first and weakest of all Menos. In human terms they would be considered foot soldiers. There are many of them and they all look alike. In Soul Society, they are the "Menos" that are generally referred to in textbooks. Gillians are huge, but they are slow and have beast-like intellect. Any Captain would be able to destroy them with ease.

Hollow

Hollow (虚 (ホロウ), horō) are a race of creatures which are born from Human souls who, for various reasons, do not cross over to Soul Society after their death and stay in the Human World for too long. They are corrupt spirits with supernatural powers that devour the souls of both living and deceased Humans.

Guardian of the Nest

The guardian of the nest is a being known as Lucil. Lucil is a hollow that was born forth from a deceptive conception between Salem and Himimoto. It is one of the two children from this birth and holds as a guardian for not only the nest, but Hueco Mundo itself. Lucil was born around the same time as her brother, Dark Light. She would be the primarily hollow version of its mother, and the son the primarily Soul Reaper version of the father. Lucil was involved in the purge of The Nest at the end point of the war as she consumed many of the residing hollows. This was done upon the order of her master and parent, Salem. She now roams the wastes of the desert, heeding the command of Salem and protecting Hueco Mundo from any possible threats within the area of The Nest.
